a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
So do not be ashamed to testify

14 of these youth are Quad Squad 4-H members and members of WIP Ministries that visited our state capitol, February 18, 2008, for 4-H Day in Annapolis, MD to learn about the legislative process and how a bill becomes a law. They are shown with Delegate Richard Sossi who met with the Kent and Queen Anne's County 4-H delegation. A special thank you to Sis. Terwana Brown & Sis. Roshelle Henry for taking their whole day to travel with the youth and to Deacon Harold & Sis. Beverly Somerville for the use of their van.

This talented group of WIP Ministries, young people are in the Chestertown Middle School band under the leadership of Mr. (Rev.) Robert N. Brown, Sr. Not only is Mr. Brown an excellent band teacher at Chestertown and Galena Middle School's, but he is also a preacher. Rev.  Brown is the pastor of Bethel  A.M.E. Church in Chestertown, MD.

Note: There are youth in other schools throughout the county that are not featured in this picture. Look for photos of other youth to appear as pictures are taken and/or submitted.

As a result of our drug outreach ministry we received a letter from our first sponsored person. Work in Progress Ministries sent this woman in her early 50's to a Christian based drug treatment facility. With her faith in God and commitment to herself she boarded a plane for the first time to travel to this facility which is 1,495.4 miles and 22 hours 16 minutes away from her home. It is our prayer that reading an excerpt of the letter, as featured below will bless you or someone you know.
-Pastor & First Lady Guy E. Jones, Sr.
Basic Financial Check List
        1. Total commitment to God

        2. Are you giving your tithes, 10% to the work of God?
Why have 100% that's cursed; when you could have 90% that's blessed?
             Malachi 3:8-10
If you do not give tithes and offering you're robbing God.
If you rob God you'll be cursed with a curse.

        3. Are you going into debt for lustful things?
You must control your spending appetite.
             I Timothy 6:6-10

        4. Are you planning and budgeting your finances?
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Nehemiah
As we are in the process of working to build our church Pastor Jones wants Work in Progress Ministries and those who attend Community Bible Study to explore the chronology of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther as books of the Bible. Be prepared through this current study to work as Nehemiah did to reconstruct your (spiritual) walls.
